The Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh has o the 18th May, 2024 accompanied by the Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima, along with NOC-SL President Prince Vandy Sualley, Athletics President Martin Momoh Bangura, witnessed the Fourah Bay College 44th Annual Inter-hall Athletics Meet at Havelock Grounds, Kortright, FBC.
Chief Minister Sengeh expressed gratitude to the organizers for a job well done, acknowledging the successful start and conclusion of the sports meeting which shows the love and sportsmanship spirit in all the students in gracing the occasion.
He emphasized the unifying power of sports, highlighting how it fosters national unity and peace, for which he called on all students to embrace the peace and national unity in the country.
The Sport Minster expressed her admiration for the athletes’ performances, noting their preparedness and the excellent organization of the event.
She commended the organizers for their meticulous planning and execution, emphasizing the role of sports in promoting peace and unity.
The Minister of Sports congratulated the winners and thanked the President for her appointment and the Chief Minister for his presence at the event.
She expressed her ministry’s commitment to boosting games and sport in the country and making the sector very proactive as always.
