Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh, representing the Government and the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), has shared his reflections on the recently concluded post-election dialogue with the All People’s Congress (APC).

The dialogue, which aimed to bridge political divides and promote national unity, tested Dr. Sengeh’s patience, sharpened his awareness, and broadened his perspective.

In a statement, he expressed, “This dialogue was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. It tested my patience, sharpened my awareness, and broadened my perspective. It’s also one I’m very proud of, and it gives me hope that no matter how divided we might be, we can sit and talk peace. The world needs it!”

Dr. Sengeh’s remarks reflect the significance of such dialogues in fostering understanding and cooperation in a politically divided environment. His dedication to the cause of peace in Sierra Leone has resonated with many, and his words serve as a beacon of hope for a nation seeking unity in the face of political differences. This marks a pivotal moment in Sierra Leone’s pursuit of national harmony and reconciliation.
