On Thursday, 22 February, President Bio received Sierra Leone Ambassador to Qatar, H.E. Ahmed Tejan Fadlu-Deen, at the presidency to bid farewell as he embarks on his new assignment, aiming to further strengthen the existing positive relationship.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Timothy Musa Kabba, conveyed Parliament’s clearance for the ambassador’s appointment and assured that the Kingdom of Qatar had approved his service in their capital.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to represent Sierra Leone, Ambassador Fadlu-Deen pledged to prioritize the government’s Big Five Game Changers and strengthen the already robust bilateral relationship between Qatar and Sierra Leone.

President Bio acknowledged the ambassador’s significant role in deepening diplomatic ties, emphasizing the potential for mutual achievements between the two nations.

President Bio congratulated Ambassador Fadlu-Deen on his new appointment, highlighting the importance of his role in establishing a strong diplomatic presence in Qatar. Encouraging the ambassador to identify specific areas of cooperation, President Bio assured continued support from Sierra Leone and extended congratulations on behalf of the nation.
