The Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) announced the retirement of 70 military officers on Friday, November 29, 2024. The Defence Council approved the decision on November 18, 2024.
Among the retirees are two high-ranking officers: Major General CF Marah, former Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Defence, and Commodore PJ Juana, former Naval Chief of Staff.
According to a statement by RSLAF Media Operations Office, atotal of 70 officers were retired, ranging in rank from General to Lieutenant. 53 officers were placed on the reserve list and will be eligible to serve during emergencies. These officers will receive a lump sum payment equivalent to one year’s salary.
Similarly, 17 officers were issued marching orders due to prolonged absence without leave (AWOL) and misconduct. These officers will not receive benefits or be placed on the reserve list.
The RSLAF said its decision to retire a significant number of officers is part of a broader effort to modernize the armed forces and address performance issues.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💯🤔😔🇸🇱✅🙌🏾 Let me be serious about these lives going to hell struggling with their families. The only reason I’m laughing about is; Why the most are North West? Everyone can see the biased openly. Yet it’s a catastrophe and a proof of cowardly insecurities around the leadership. Like saying cowards dies many times before their deads. Why at this point of time? Because most of them knew Bio very well and I hope it’s not going to cost their lives by false accusations like leader boots for no reasons. If they all smart to act fast and leave the country for safety purpose it will be good. They must go to embassies and ask for asylums due feeling unsafe around the country due to biases behavior from the government. Is just an advice to them from the North West of Sierra Leone included in this forceful retirement. Stop listening from the outsiders, bring your own people together and build a great nation, for along will yourself live? Do you think of your children how they are going to be seen after you gone forever? Change your style and work for Sierra Leone and it people benefits 🙌🏾🙌🏾✅🇸🇱🫶🏾🫶🏾✊🏾
You can not even express yourself properly. No regard for syntax and grammar. This is the end result when you go to school and bribe teachers to promote you at the end of every school year. All you have written here is rubbish. I do not understand a word of what you have written.
Wow
