Sierra Leone’s U20 national team, the Shooting Stars, has started its final stage of training before the quarter-final match in the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The team trained on Thursday morning at the Mercure Hotel training ground in Ismailia, Egypt.
All 26 players in the squad took part in the session. This means every player is fit and available for the match on Monday in Cairo.
The Shooting Stars reached the quarter-finals after their group stage games in Group A. They won against Egypt and Tanzania, drew with Zambia, and lost to South Africa. These results helped them move to the next round of the tournament.
This is the first time Sierra Leone has reached the U20 AFCON quarter-finals. The team is now focused on the next match and is preparing carefully as they travel to Cairo for the big game.
All the best shooting stars of Sierra Leone all the best.
