The Government of Sierra Leone has in a public notice announced that the feast of Eid Al Fitr, which signifies the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan, will take place on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024.

As a result, the government has declared Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, a public holiday across the country.

Eid al-Fitr, known as the “festival of breaking the fast” signifies the conclusion of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting observed by Muslims worldwide. During Ramadan, Muslims abstain from food and drink from dawn to dusk.
