Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, led a ministerial delegation on an inspection tour of the Youyi Building and New England Ville campuses to evaluate potential sites for new government office towers.

The site inspections follow a directive from President Julius Maada Bio aimed at alleviating overcrowding at the Youyi Building, which serves as one of the country’s primary administrative hubs. The proposed infrastructure development seeks to consolidate currently dispersed government services into centralized, purpose-built facilities.

Government officials state the project is designed to improve coordination between ministries, boost operational efficiency, and provide better, more accessible services to the public.

The initiative is a component of the administration’s broader “Big Five” agenda, a policy framework prioritizing institutional reform and effective public service delivery.

Following the tour, Dr. Sengeh publicly confirmed the administration’s commitment to expanding public sector infrastructure, noting that bringing various government services together will ultimately transform how state institutions operate and interact with citizens.
