A fine crop of Sierra Leonean experts and petroleum professionals led by the Director General Engr. Foday Mansaray has taken the stage at Africa’s Premier Energy Conference in the resplendent Mayfair Hotel in centre London.

No sooner had Director Mansaray stepped up to the podium than he started waxing through the thick layers of facts and figures with the precision of a trained surgeon specialist.

The goal, however, was not to mystify his audience but to illuminate the subject. He carefully peeled away at the timeless Geological landscape of Sierra Leone, before slicing through topical themes like Petroleum systems, exploration, prospectivity, Data Coverage, Fiscal, Legal, and Regulatory Frameworks, Concession Area, and finally descending on the attractive bone- the Application Procedure.

This penetrating presentation, delivered to the applause of an enwrapped audience, “is just the taster”, according to zainu Deen Karim, Director of Finance at the SLPD and who himself is a participating member of this afternoon’s LAUNCH!
