The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Sierra Leone have joined forces to launch the country’s first-ever Youth-Led Innovation Green Solution Challenge 2024.
This initiative aims to accelerate development in the environmental sector by harnessing the power of young minds.
Organizers believe the challenge will tap into the ingenuity, creativity, and resilience of young innovators.
Participants are encouraged to showcase their ideas for tackling climate change and environmental challenges. The Green Solutions Challenge 2024 specifically seeks innovative solutions in areas like climate resilience, sustainable energy, waste management, natural resource conservation, and sustainable agriculture.
The EPA and UNDP also aim to empower young innovators by equipping them with the tools and resources needed to develop and implement their green solutions, ultimately creating a more sustainable Sierra Leone.
