Sierra Leone’s average fixed broadband internet speed is ranked 144 amongst 182 countries in the latest Speedtest Global Index published by U.S.-based internet speed analysis firm Ookla.
Sierra Leone is ranked 144 with a download spread of 10.46 mbps, which is considered amongst the world’s slowest internet speed.
Sierra Leone however ranked higher the West African neighbours – Nigeria (151), Liberia (158), The Gambia (169), and Guinea (170).
The world’s fastest, Singapore scored 219.01 mbps download speed, and world’s slowest, Afghanistan scored 1.90 download speed.
Speedtest Global Index rankings are based on median download speed to best reflect the speeds a user is likely to achieve in a market.
