Sierraloaded on Saturday 3rd January 2026 brought smiles to the faces of less privileged individuals during a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) donation exercise held at 10:00 a.m., as part of its commitment to giving back to the community.

The initiative focused on supporting vulnerable groups through the donation of food items, underscoring the media platform’s dedication to making a meaningful impact beyond news reporting.

“This is more than just a donation, it’s our way of standing in solidarity with those who need support,” Team Lead Aaron Parker stated.

Beneficiaries of the donation expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and meaningful, particularly at a time when many disadvantaged individuals are facing economic challenges. The recipients commended Sierraloaded’s staff for their compassion and continued commitment to community welfare.

The exercise was well organised, with team members working collaboratively to identify the most vulnerable beneficiaries and ensure that the distribution process was fair, orderly, and respectful. The initiative also served as a team-building opportunity for staff, reinforcing the role of the media in positively impacting lives both on and off the screen.

Sierraloaded’s leadership praised staff members for their dedication and encouraged other institutions to emulate similar acts of goodwill. “We believe that true influence comes not only from our reach, but from our actions,” the leadership noted.

Speaking during the event, the Chairperson of Persons with Disability at Cotton Tree, Kadiatu Sillah, said the donation made her feel appreciated, noting that Sierraloaded has consistently supported them over the years.

She appealed to the government and non-governmental organisations not to overlook persons with disabilities, stressing that beyond food support, there is a critical need for educational assistance for their children.

“Most of our children passed the BECE examinations with good results, but we do not have the financial capacity to sponsor their education,” she said. “We are pleading with the government and NGOs to support our children so they can become somebody in the future.”

Also speaking, the Secretary of the Street Disabled Organisation, Mariatu Bangura, expressed gratitude to Sierraloaded, stating that the donation was not the first of its kind.

“We were expecting Sierraloaded because they have always supported us. We sincerely thank the management and the entire staff for remembering us,” she said.

Through this CSR initiative, Sierraloaded continues to reaffirm its role not only as a leading media platform in Sierra Leone but also as a compassionate and socially responsible institution committed to community empowerment.
