The Board, Management, and Staff of Sierra Leone Commercial Bank Limited wish to inform the public and our valued customers about a fire incident at the building housing its head office and the Siaka Stevens Street branch on the evening of Sunday, May 5th.
The fire, which is believed to have originated on the 5th floor, was quickly contained by the National Fire Force.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the blaze, which lasted roughly 30 minutes between 10pm and 11pm.

SLCB officials assured the public that the fire is under control and that the cause is currently under investigation. They emphasized that regular banking operations will not be affected and that customer funds remain safe.
In its statement, the bank’s Board, Management, and Staff acknowledged the incident and expressed gratitude to emergency responders for their swift action. They also reassured customers that a recovery plan is underway to restore normalcy to all operations. The public will receive further updates as the situation develops.
