Mr. Yankuba Askia Bio, Director General of the Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA), visited the renowned Logos Hope vessel docked at Berth 1 on Tuesday, accompanied by his management team.
The visit underscored growing cooperation between SLPHA and international visiting vessels, as Logos Hope Captain Matthew Stephens presented Mr. Bio with a certificate of appreciation, honoring the warm hospitality extended by SLPHA.
The Logos Hope, famous for its floating library and educational outreach, provided Mr. Bio and his team with a firsthand look at its unique cultural and educational offerings. The visit also served as a symbolic gesture of Sierra Leone’s dedication to fostering positive relations with international vessels, a commitment that strengthens Freetown’s role as an accessible and welcoming port.
This engagement reflects SLPHA’s ongoing efforts to support and enhance maritime relationships, further promoting Sierra Leone as a hub for global maritime exchange.
