MYK Berewa, Director of Communications at State House, has reaffirmed the Sierra Leone People’s Party’s (SLPP) firm determination to stop the All People’s Congress (APC) from returning to power, warning that a comeback by the APC could reverse the progress made under the current government.
Speaking in an interview with Liberty Online TV, Berewa emphasized the SLPP’s readiness to defend the achievements realized during President Julius Maada Bio’s administration.
His comments came shortly after the SLPP’s National Delegates Conference, where new party executives were elected. Berewa reflected on President Bio’s speech during the event, which underscored the party’s commitment to the development and unity of Sierra Leone.
“We cannot allow the APC to come back and destroy all the good things we have done,” Berewa stated. “We have made it clear to the people of Sierra Leone that we are ready for them in a good way, not in a bad way.”
The SLPP’s message highlights its resolve to maintain leadership as the country looks toward future elections.
