A supporter of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s party (SLPP) have taken to social media to criticize the decision of President Maada Bio to appointment a resident Minister of Western Region.

Jones Da Silva Adolvina who affirmed that He is a supported of the ruling party described the appointment as ‘nasty’ and a waste of government resources.

“Really I’m a supporter of the SLPP. But this appointment is a waste of resources. We have internal affairs minister. What’s the essence of Western Area minister?”, Adolvina wrote.

Recall that President Julius Maada Bio, on Friday, appointed former Foreign Affairs Minister, Nabeela Tunis as the first Resident Minister of Western Region. The President also appointed former Presidential Secretary, Dennis Sandy as the Minister of Finance.
