On Friday, 14th October 2022, representatives of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party sympathized with the bereaved family members of the late and former leader of the Revolutionary United Front Party(RUFP), Mr. Eldred Oluwole Rogers Collins.

The National Chairman, of SLPP, Dr. Prince Alex Harding, and the former National Chairman and Leader who happens to be the Senior Adviser to the President, Mr. John Oponjo Benjamin were at the Benguema village to deliver a condolence message to the bereaved family on behalf of the leadder of the SLPP, H. E. Julius Maada Bio and the SLPP.

As a way of consoling the Collins family for the loss of their loved one, the SLPP and GoSL representatives also offered Le 20,000 new notes, 10 bags of rice, 3 tins of 20 liters each of vegetable oil, and 5 cartoons of Maggie.

In recognition of President Bio’s kind gesture, the Collins family acknowledged that the action of the Father of the nation and the SLPP was not a surprise to them.

According to the family, President Bio made a similar venture when the late Mr. Eldred Collins’s mother died and today’s move was a testimony of the SLPP’s one country! One People’s philosophy and promised to continue cherishing his love for the nation.

Today’s visit by President Julius Maada Bio’s representative demonstrates the fact that you don’t have to be an SLPP member before having your share of the National cake.

The late Mr. Eldred Collins was a founding member of the RUFP and the party’s 2012 Presidential candidate and died at age 67.

May his soul be granted to God’s infinite mercy.
