The Sierra Leone’s Standard Bureau through the help of UNIDO, WACOMP and the European Union has ended an event marking the award of a management system certification body status.

The event which was based on boosting competitiveness through an accredited certification service will be of greater help to the sector. This may be a boost to the sectorial development as well as the individuals in the country.

According to them, it will be an improvement for the small medium enterprises (SMEs) in their competiveness and access new markets through the implementation of effective management system.

The United Nations resident coordinator in Sierra Leone, Babatunde A. Ahonsi expressed satisfaction over the event as it may be having greater impact to the SMEs in the country to boost the sector.
