The action filed by Paul Kamara and Rev. Alimamay Coleson Turay against the Electoral Commission 🇸🇱, Dr. Samura Kamara and the APC Party has been struck out for non-compliance with the Rule 90(1) of the Supreme Court Rules, Public Notice No.1 of 1982.
The Judiciary of Sierra Leone further revealed that “a certificate of Non-compilance having been issued on the 29th , 2023, the originating Notice of Motion field on the 17th May, 2023 by the said applicants, Paul M. Kamara and Rev. Alimamay Coleson Turay against the Chief Electoral Commissioner [1st Respondent, Dr. Samura Kamara [3rd Respondent} and all the All People’s Congress [4th Respondent] is Hereby deemed to have been struck out , Pursuant to Rule 90 [3] of the aforementioned Supreme Court Rules”
The former APC Sports Minister Paul Kamara and Rev. Alimamy Coleson Turay earlier filed 3 grounds of Objection to APC’s Samura Kamara at the Supreme Court. Pages of the affidavits surfaced online with signature of Paul Kamara and Lawyer Charles Pujeh.
The struck out of the petition is believed to serve as a great sigh of relief to the APC as the country geared towards the June 24 elections.
