Tikonko Estate Management Company (TEMCO) has signed a groundbreaking agreement to develop the ambitious 1,200-acre Tikonko City project in Tikonko Chiefdom, near Bo City.

The project, which aims to reshape Sierra Leone’s real estate landscape, will include a range of world-class facilities, such as student hostels, a 5-star hotel, a golf course, a shopping mall, and 1,000 affordable homes.

The development, seen as a major step forward for urbanization in West Africa, is being undertaken in collaboration with international partners Seso Global UK and Eko Green Homes, a subsidiary of the Eko Atlantic Group. Seso Global, recognized for its blockchain-based property solutions, and Eko Green Homes will bring their expertise to the table, integrating innovation and sustainability into the project.

TEMCO’s sister company, Track Your Build, has also been active in advancing infrastructure projects in Sierra Leone. In 2024, the company signed a four-year agreement with Bo City Council to implement an Urban Management Platform and completed extensive drone and LiDAR surveys for multiple projects, including a 54 sq km fish farm in Bonthe.

TEMCO expressed its gratitude to key figures who facilitated the project, including Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh, Bo District Council Chairman Victor Hindowa, Paramount Chief PC Professor Joe Macavoray of Tikonko Chiefdom, and Bo City Mayor Kobba Musa. Additionally, TEMCO acknowledged the leadership of Hon. Edmond Nonie, recently appointed Deputy Minister 2 of Energy, whose support has been vital to the company’s progress.

As Tikonko City moves towards realization, TEMCO’s project is being hailed as a transformative initiative for Sierra Leone’s real estate sector, poised to contribute to the country’s modernization and growth.
