Popular United State travel writer, Terry Ward has shared her account of visiting Sierra Leone not long ago.

Sierra Leone was recently rated among the world’s greatest places for 2023.

In an interview, Terry Ward stated that Sierra Leone is getting on the map as an adventure destination with gorgeous pictures.

She stated that there are amazing historical sites where black Americans used to explore slavery roots in West Africa.

She continued that Bonthe Island is now the most important cultural place of sierra Leone’s slavery history adding that the women are empowered with all kinds of entrepreneurial skills.

She further stated that she learned a lot in Sierra Leone and made mention of Banana Island which is in the Freetown Peninsular referring to it as a ‘beautiful Island to explore’.

She concluded by stating that Sierra Leoneans are welcoming which makes touring exciting.
