I was deeply touched by the accolades as every speaker (MPs) in the house recounted my good works in the last five years as a public servant.
“I was also humbled by the extraordinary love shown by members of the Sierra Leone People Party (National, District and Constituency executives) and other Sierra Leoneans. I will not take this for granted, I will serve and I leave a legacy.
“Once again, I am grateful to Allah for the life and good health, to President Julius MAADA Bio for the opportunity, to my family and friends, friends of my dear wife for the support and to my lovely wife, my pillar of support for believing in me. Thank you all.”
The new minister was accompanied by friends, relatives and well-wishers during the approval process.
I hope the will look into the mining laws/labor laws which will help the development of Sierra Leoneans. Because Sierra Leoneans are not benefiting any thing from these mining companies in Sierra Leone. Like poor basic salaries, Maltreatments, safety standard and environmental hazard are all problems faced by Sierra Leoneans in these mining companies.
Only in Sierra Leone you can have a barrister solicitor as a mining minister.
Was that his background of study?
