The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has hosted the National Task Force to discuss on the prevention and management of obstetric fistula in Sierra Leone.
The engagement was led by the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MOHS) and the partners who convened to operationalize the newly launched fistula strategy and advance the commitment to eliminate fistula by 2030.
The UNFPA has also partnered with UNICEF to support national rollout of the GBV information management system to strengthen data and services to gender-based violence survivors in Sierra Leone that was launched by the minister of gender and children’s affairs Manty Tarawalli. It was also noted that this is the first time the government is leading the gender based violence information management system.
