Minister Salima Bah, of the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation has on behalf of the ministry received material donation from the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) in Sierra Leone.
The donation included 113 laptops and 23 projectors costing $113,000 which is in support of digital learning Hubs and GIGA project-related activities.
According to them, the initiative will contribute to the transformative potential of young people in the digital environment.
The minister maintained that, the meaningful internet connectivity in schools requires access to devices and e-learning content.
She maintained that, they are happy to have made meaningful steps towards achieving that for the 42 schools and 4 DLHs that they have already connected and many plans set for 2024.
