The University of Makeni (UniMak), in collaboration with Maastricht University, has announced the launch of a Postgraduate Certificate in “Enabling Learning for Health Professionals,” aimed at advancing health education skills for professionals in Sierra Leone.
This intensive course, set to commence on November 22-23, 2024, offers a robust opportunity for local health practitioners to enhance their teaching and facilitation capabilities.
The course, developed by the renowned Maastricht University in the Netherlands, is designed to equip health professionals with modern, evidence-based education techniques. Graduates will receive certification upon completion, benefiting their career progression in health education and training.
This program, now entering its second cohort, is structured as a sandwich course, with sessions occurring every three weeks. It is open to health practitioners and enthusiasts, with registration forms now available. Interested participants must complete their registration, which includes a fee of NLe 300, and pay the full course cost of NLe 3,500 to secure a spot in the program.
“Only fully paid students will be accepted,” the university emphasized in a recent statement, underscoring the importance of timely payments for enrollment.
