The University of Sierra Leone has dismissed rumours circulating on social media stating that dates have been set for the 2021/2022 graduation ceremony.
Last week, unverified convocation dates of the three constituents colleges – Fourah Bay College (FBC), Institute of Business Studies and Administration (IPAM), College of Medicine and Allied Health Science (COMAHS) was dispersed on social media asserting that March 5, 12 and 19 would be the dates for the graduation ceremony.
However, the Director of Media and Communications at the USL, Dr. Tonya Musa has dismissed these rumours as untrue.
“We have graduation week, but we have not get fixed dates for graduation,” he said.
Musa added that, “The University will come out with dates to inform its grandaunts appropriately.”
He maintained that the publication of graduation dates would be the work of the university management based on certain elements like the collection of degrees and later publications.
“We cannot pronounce date without doing all of that,” he said.
For the past few years, the period of February to March have dates that the University of Sierra Leone would hold its graduation ceremony.
