The United States government through its Embassy in Freetown, has reacted to the inauguration of the members of the All People’s Congress into Sierra Leone’s Parliament.
The Embassy sees the act as a victory for democracy in the West African nation.
“Their voices will help ensure all Sierra Leoneans’ interests are heard in government institutions.” The Embassy stated on Twitter.
They went on to congratulate the leaders in the APC and the government who made this possible through the Agreement for National Unity, adding that they look forward to the full and rapid implementation of the remaining parts of that agreement.

No Mr Ambassador! It is victory for the Americans. Our democracy has always been intact under the SLPP government but became bad for USA and EU since APC were not represented in our political arena.
