A video of opposition politician of the All People’s Congress (APC), Kemoh Sesay reportedly being taken to prison has emerged on social media.

Sesay was seen in the video in a deplorable health condition as he was held by people closed to him, aiding his movement.

Yesterday, Principal Magistrate, His Worship Magistrate Sahr E. Kekura remanded in custody the former Minister of Transport and Aviation in the erstwhile Government.

Kemon Sesay was brought before the Court to answer to one Count of Cyber Stalking and Bullying contrary to Section 44 (2) (b) of the Cyber Security and Crime Act of 2021.

According to the particulars of offence, Sesay between March and April 2022, through social media, via WhatsApp, in Port Loko District, Bakeloko Chiefdom in the Northern Provincee of the Republic of Sierra Leone, did willfully and repeatedly communicate directly to the President, His Julius Maada Bio in a manner that he knows to be false, for the purpose of causing danger, obstruction, insult, injury, criminal intimidation, enmity, hatred, ill will or needless anxiety to President Bio or causes such a message to be sent.

Accused Hon. Kemoh Sesay has been detained at the Pademba Road male Correctional centers.The matter comes up on Monday, 9th May, 2022.
