The Waterloo Police have informed in their recent crime updates that they have recaptured four (4) hardcore criminals who escaped from the Pademba Road Male Correctional Center (prison) during the November 26, 2023, failed coup attempt.

According to the report, the criminals were caught from their respective hideouts in Waterloo during a raid on November 26, 2023.

The intelligence-led raid was spearheaded by the Local Unit Commander of the Waterloo Police Division, CSP Mr. Joe Kamanda Bongay.

Mohamed Massaquoi, convicted of Murder and serving a 30-year jail term was reportedly re-arrested with a local pistol comprising six (6) shot-gun cartridges.

Another was, Mohamed Kamara, who was sentenced to a 25-year jail term for the offense of Wounding With Intent and two others who are also escapees from the Pademba Road prison.
