Concerned citizens, Human Rights Organizations, friends, and family members are demanding that the authorities probe into the circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of a young lady called Iyeba Sanda Barrie which took place at Kamaseh Village, some 2km from Kabala Town, on Friday 26, January 2024.

Meanwhile, family members say the mutilated corpse of the lady was found near a stream with stab wounds that showed evidence of an imminent brutal attack from the assailant.

Reports from Kabala confirmed that the matter is under Police investigation and  two suspects have been arrested in connection to the murder.

The corpse was  in the mortuary at the Government Hospital in Kabala. An autopsy was done, and she has just been laid to rest  in Falaba District.

Mr. Saikujohn Barrie, the elder brother of the late woman said, he counts on the Police to thoroughly investigate his sister’s death and bring her killers to justice. He is also calling on the general public to help the police with information as the family goes through this excruciating pain and horror.

Barrie states “I do applaud the Local Unit Commander (LUC), and Crime officer with their team in Kabala for their efforts so far, and I am also calling on the Inspector General Of Police and by extension the government of Sierra Leone to ensure that the family gets justice.
As the family awaits the autopsy to be conducted, I appreciate all those who are contributing in their various means in ensuring that justice is delivered. I know the road to get justice is long, painful and far, but I am sure justice will be delivered, inshallah.
This case will not rest until I get justice for my beloved sister, a girl who has never hurt even a fly .No one deserves to die like this.
