In an effort and support from the United Nations Women in Sierra Leone and funding from The Elsie Initiative, the Measuring Opportunities for Women in Peace Operations (MOWIP) has launched the 2023 report on the results of the assessment done.

The report was launched on the 28th of July 2023 with the partners and high-ranked Sierra Leone Police Officers in the country.

The focus of it is to increase women’s participation by measuring opportunities and identifying barriers to women in the force.

The report identified 10 barriers for the SLP as well as making meaningful contributions towards filing recommendations for the highlighted barriers.
