Mayor of Freetown; Her Worship Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr hosted High Commissioner for Canada to Sierra Leone and Ghana; Her Excellency Kati Csaba at her office in Freetown.

Her Worship shared the ideas of Transform Freetown and the progress they have made so far. They also discussed the plans for the upcoming Freetown’s 230th anniversary celebrations. They also shared ideas together on how they could continue to strengthen their relationship and support each other.

“I joined the High Commissioner for Canada to Sierra Leone and Ghana, HE Kati Csaba and the Commanding Officers of HMCS Goose Bay and HMCS Moncton at a reception on board the HMCS Goose Bay naval ship this evening.

Earlier in the day, I had the pleasure of hosting HE Csaba at my office where we discussed Transform Freetown and our progress so far. We also had an engaging conversation about Freetown’s shared history with the City of Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada as we discussed the plans for Freetown’s 230th Anniversary celebrations.
