Your Excellency,
As 2024 draws to a close, I find it necessary to humbly write to you regarding the unresolved challenges facing the majority of the people in Sierra Leone.
Mr. President, I deeply admire your resilience and steadfast dedication to serve this great nation. I pray that God continues to guide, protect, and bless you abundantly in your leadership journey.
However, the cries of the people cannot be ignored. Many Sierra Leoneans are living in abject poverty. The youths, who form the backbone of our nation’s future, remain largely unemployed, leading to idleness and lawlessness. This is contributing to the alarming rise in crimes, a consequence of despair and lack of empowerment.
Young girls, too, are facing dire challenges. Many are forced onto the streets, using various means to earn a living,a clear reflection of the economic hardships and lack of opportunities they face.
Inflation continues to rise daily, making life increasingly unbearable for the average citizen. The lack of job opportunities, poor road infrastructure, limited access to electricity, and inadequate basic amenities further deepen our struggles.
Mr. President, as the father of the nation, we look to you for hope and solutions. Instead of resorting to unlawful protests, I humbly bring these concerns to your attention. As we approach 2025, we need decisive action to address these pressing issues and rebuild our nation.
Our people are suffering, and our nation is at risk of falling apart. We plead with you to hear our honest cries and to take bold steps toward restoring hope for the future of Sierra Leone.
May God bless you, Mr. President.
May God bless Sierra Leone.
🇸🇱✊🏾
That’s a good one
Indeed, Mr. President. We know you are doing a lot. But the challenges facing the ordinary Sierra Leoneans still persist such as uncontrolled pricing structure in the markets leading to rising prices for basic commodities while the basic salaries of those working remain the same. I think the government should implement feasible and realistic policies that would that would really lessen the economic burden on the common Sierra Leoneans in the short term. These implementation should be monitored and followed up to see that it’s impact positively on the majority of Sierra Leoneas. The people are in haste for economic development and government should also hasten their interventions on the economic fronts as its directly affects all other aspects of Sierra Leoneans’ life. Thank you.
All I have to say Amen 🙏
As our brother has already highlighted everything that we the citizens are facing in this country, it is not really an easy task to control or make a provision of millions of people but at least if there is job facilities or factory where citizens will be engaged to sustain themselves and there families I hope that will be more better, now check how many graduates out there every year and the job market is limited to make a provision for those graduates.
Please 🙏 Mr president in support to what Mr brother said it is important to consider with all protocol to help the sustainable development of our great nation.
