Ishmael Bah, a political activist, and advocate for human rights, recently shared his thoughts on the current state of our country through his official Facebook account. In his post, he expressed his belief in the All People’s Congress (APC) and its potential to replace the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), led by President Bio.

He said that the 2023 elections should’ve been the easiest for any opposition against this administration. He said, “Everything is clear for these opposition parties to use, but they decide to accept the distractions the PAOPA are feeding them, so many things that went wrong from the day they took office.”

Going forward on his comments, he said, “The bread-and-butter issue alone is enough to kick them out of power, human right violation, bad and sinking economy, judicial killings of innocent citizens, the new currency failure, selective Justice, selective corruption indictment, youths’ unemployment, violations of the constitution, forcefully imposed laws on citizens, failed promises, no consistent light and drinking water.”

In the end he said, “As we can see, this administration has no message for the people, instead they’re going around the country displaying crowds from their strongholds and telling their supporters not to vote for MAMY CUSS, as far as the people of Sierra Leone is concern, we haven’t heard any of the presidential candidates using abusive languages, please don’t disrespect Sierra Leoneans with these kind of messages after 5 years of failing the nation.”
