For the past four days, residents in Bo City have endured constant and erratic power fluctuations from the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA).
This on-and-off electricity supply is not just an inconvenience, vit is a direct threat to electrical appliances, businesses, and the well-being of citizens. If EDSA has nothing better to do, it should stop playing with the light and address the issue responsibly.
A total blackout is far better than unpredictable power surges that damage household and business equipment. How many more properties must be lost before EDSA takes responsibility? The institution seems unbothered by the fact that its poor service affects thousands of tax-paying citizens who fund its operations, including staff salaries.
If there is a problem, switch off the power and fix it properly. This reckless supply pattern is unacceptable. Nobody is forcing EDSA to provide electricity, but if they must, they should do it right. A stable blackout is even preferable because at least people can plan accordingly, rather than dealing with appliances burning out due to unexpected power jumps.
Many residents express frustration, calling EDSA a major disappointment. The agency’s failure to provide a reliable service is unacceptable, and its lack of accountability only fuels public anger. Had Alhaji Kanja Sesay remained in office, this continuous failure could have led to severe consequences for his health, given the stress such inefficiencies bring.
It’s time for EDSA to act responsibly, communicate effectively, and work on sustainable solutions. The people deserve reliable electricity, not a constant gamble with their safety and property.
When this light issue go settle na we contry ba?
An example should be created, by sewing EDSA to court for erratic electricity and damages, O my God! But what if the majority of the people are not paying for the electricity consumed??
