Agriculture is the future of our nation and is inextricably linked to the success of our agricultural sector, and the global exportation of our goods and services. As such, it is vital that we prioritize our investments in these areas, in order to secure a sustainable and prosperous future for generations to come. Let us recognize the significance of our farmers and the role they play in driving our economy forward and take the necessary steps to ensure their continued growth and success.
FEED SALONE: Why should we as a nation embark on such an intensive and difficult path yes necessary for the survival of its people and future?
It’s very unfortunate, I am seeing some people thinking that the success of FEED SALONE is in the hands of the Chairman, the minister of Agriculture, the Ministry, or those connected to it.
YOU ARE TOTALLY WRONG!
For instance, It’s true that providing for a family isn’t solely the responsibility of the father. Mothers play a crucial role in the process too, as they are often the ones who prepare the meals. And let’s not forget the children, who play a vital role in consuming and enjoying the food as well. It takes a team effort to successfully feed a family!
The success of FEED SALONE cannot be attributed to just one person or group of people. It is the collective responsibility of all Sierra Leoneans to support this initiative and work towards its success. Whether we are farmers, non-farmers, educators, or any other profession, we all have a role to play in ensuring that FEED SALONE is successful.
It is essential to recognize that our nation’s future depends on the success of this initiative. Therefore, we must work together, support each other, and pass on our knowledge to others. Those who undermine FEED SALONE’s success not only harm the government but also harm the people of Sierra Leone. Let us all come together and contribute to the success of FEED SALONE to secure a better future for our nation. I a calling on all Sierra Leoneans to raise up to the occasion to protect our future and generations to come.
Agriculture is undoubtedly one of the most important factors that contribute to a country’s economic growth. The capital investments made in this sector goes a long way in ensuring that our farmers can produce high-quality crops and livestock. We must recognize the importance and value of our farmers, who work tirelessly to provide us with the food we need to survive. Moreover, factories, particularly those that are medium to large-scale, play a crucial role in the processing and packaging of agricultural products. Value-added services such as these help to ensure that the produce is of the highest quality and is ready for consumption and exportation. Accessibility to these goods is also important, as it allows consumers to purchase fresh and affordable produce. Finally, exporting our agricultural produce can help to boost our economy and strengthen our relationships with other countries.
In recent times, there has been a growing interest in agriculture as a means of livelihood. Agriculture has always been a vital sector in society in Sierra Leone, and it plays a significant role in providing food, creating job opportunities, and contributing to the economy. With the current global challenges, many people are looking for ways to become more self-sufficient, and agriculture presents a perfect opportunity for this.
If you’re considering getting into agriculture, there are various ways to do so. You can start by growing your vegetables, fruits, and herbs in your backyard or community garden. You can also consider keeping livestock, such as chickens, goats, or cows, depending on your location and resources. There are many benefits to getting into agriculture, including the satisfaction of growing your food, the potential for a sustainable income, and the opportunity to contribute to your community’s food security.
Additionally, agriculture can provide a sense of purpose and fulfillment that is hard to find in other professions. So if you’re looking for a new challenge or considering a career change, agriculture is a great option to consider. With a little bit of research, planning, and hard work, you can start your journey toward a fulfilling and rewarding career in agriculture. Let’s Feed Salone!

FEED SALONEWILL BE A REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENT IF IT’S WELL IMPLEMENTED.
Sierra Leone was known as a Agricultural Nation years back before and ather our first change of government ( late 60s and early,70s) .
Agriculture is referred to as the backbone of our economy amidst many minerals . When sierra leone was dependent on agriculture ,food self-sufficiency was achieved, many employments were created ( Toma Bum Tombowala Rukrupa and mambolo farms ) and Rice cooperation.
All this changed due to bad governance, we lost that glory.
Many more projects has come and gone started and ended in concrete floors.
Initiating feed salone will be a revolutionary project to revamp and awake our awareness that we can feed ourselves.GROW WHAT YOU EAT .China India has highest populations but do feed themselves and sell excesses to others.
The talking is too much, we want to see the rice ,eat and sell excess .
