The Organizing Secretary for the opposition All People’s Congress in the North West Region, Mr. Abubakar Boxx Konteh has been released from police custody.
Sierraloaded understands that Konteh was released after being granted bail.
The opposition politician was among five Sierra Leonean nationals arrested in March by Guinean authorities in Conakry. The group was reportedly apprehended with a large quantity of illegal synthetic drugs smuggled into the country.
In a statement, the Ministry of Information and Civic Education said Konteh was apprehended at the Guinea airport while attempting to flee to Senegal.
Mr Konteh is suspected of providing material support in the planning, execution and escape/hiding of the executors of the failed November 26, 2023, coup. He is also suspected of being involved in the trade of illegal substances including the deadly Kush in Sierra Leone.
On Friday, April 12, 2024, Konteh was extradited to Sierra Leone for interrogations by the Sierra Leone Police.

Exactly!!! They have locked up many others for no legal reasons. How can coup maker and drug trafficker get bail so quickly?
