Parliamentary Member of the All People’s Congress (APC), Abdul Karim Kamara, has stated that the party will adopt a new approach ahead of the 2028 elections, affirming that the “APC will have two faces – a face of gentility and a face of brutality.”
“If they need peace, we will make it available, and if they need the opposite of it, they will meet us red and ready,” Kamara said. He emphasized that the APC of 2023 will not be the same APC in the future, signaling a shift in the party’s approach.
Kamara also addressed the issue of agreements and law-breaking, stating that the APC has never signed an agreement and then breached it. He contrasted this with the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), which he accused of proposing agreements on paper only to break them later.
Kamara’s statement is seen as part of the APC’s strategy to position itself for the 2028 elections. The party is reportedly focused on rebuilding and regrouping after the 2023 elections, which it contests.
In his statement, Kamara reiterated the APC’s commitment to remaining structurally prepared for future electoral obligations.
