The main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party has outlined a strategy to regroup and revitalize after a challenging 2023 elections.
A marathon National Advisory Council (NAC) meeting held on Monday, July 22nd, brought together party leaders to address the party’s future direction.
Despite the absence of the 2023 presidential candidate, Dr. Samura Kamara, the meeting produced key resolutions aimed at strengthening the party’s structure and operations.
Central to the APC’s plans is a comprehensive review of the Agreement for National Unity document. The party has committed to implementing recommendations from the Tripartite Committee on Electoral Management, Institutional, and Legal Reforms.
To ensure a more organized electoral process, the APC has introduced new timelines for membership registration and primary elections. Membership registration will now commence a year before the national delegate conference, followed by primary elections the subsequent year.
Recognizing the importance of digital communication, the party has pledged to train party-affiliated bloggers on responsible and constructive messaging. A national symposium will be held to equip bloggers with the skills to promote the APC’s agenda effectively.
To enhance grassroots engagement, the APC leadership has announced a nationwide tour to meet with party members and update them on the party’s plans. Additionally, the party will convene meetings for Public Relations Officers (PROs) at all levels to ensure consistent messaging.
Ansu Bernard has been appointed as the new National Young Congress Leader.
The party has emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among members, calling for concerted efforts to rebuild the party and effectively address the challenges ahead.
By implementing these measures, the APC aims to position itself for future electoral success and play a more constructive role in national politics.
Na dis dm bin lef.
May Allah guide our political parties and politicians to the right path, a path that will enhance development, unity and progress for all. We don’t want to see the continuity of violence, misinformation, corruption and division amongst us in Mama Salon.
This is what we have been praying for. Good move. This is best to do
If the APC could follow these resolution, I think our democracy can survive. Because the purpose of democracy is checks and balance. With a formidable opposition, the government will be on its tows. To deliver or allow opposition again, to govern. That’s what this country was expected of the APC. Now that everyone knows the political field is between these two parties.
The APC need reformation now.
Now they are doing the right thing. Politics is about strategies. Bringing your ideologies and popularizing it among the electorates will help your party to power, but fake news doesn’t work
Now you are talking. Keep it up.
2028 weather you campaign or not it your turn, you will won the election
We get for run after wunna all, wunna fake we with the trapatitee, we own area wunna nor can dae, we nor want see wunna duya. Tem don cam back for cam lie pa we, after people dem don die for natin, wunna wan can fool we.
Supporters and sympathisers were totally miss informed about the trapatite. Your bloggers indeed need training
Comrades all, it’s good you have started thinking wisely, but the most important issue is the membership issue of chief Alhaji Sam Sumana the former vise president of the Republic of Sierra Leone, if you joke with it you joke with the life and progress of the Mighty APC’s winning comes 2028. Unity is strength
What is truly astonishing is the ease with which many have come to accommodate this illegitimate Regime.
We are being asked to accept a patently fraudulent Election Result.
Lest we forget we The PEOPLE are Sovereign and it is our Sovereign Right to determine Who will Govern us.
We do this, by periodically casting our votes and the Candidate with majority support Governs.
It is therefore a crime against the Nation, a gross violation of the people’s WILL, to fraudulently tamper with Election Results.
Many of us harbour grave concerns as to the Authenticity and Accuracy of the Results called and our unease is further deepened by the manic refusal to release the RRF’S which would indubitably confirm the validity of the declared Results
