APC Will Participate in Sixth Parliament – Alfred Peter Conteh

In response to the recent position letter from the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) stating their refusal to participate in President-elect Julius Maada Bio’s governance system, Alfred Peter Conteh, a former member of the Interim Transitional Governance Committee (ITGC), has expressed his views.

Conteh emphasized that the people of Sierra Leone, particularly the APC supporters, voted for the party to have representation in the parliament, not to be excluded from the decision-making process.

He dismissed the signed document as lacking any substantial basis.

“The APC party was chosen by the people of Sierra Leone to represent them in parliament, and not those individuals who signed a noncompliance document. That document holds no significance whatsoever. The mighty APC will actively participate in the 6th Parliament of the 2nd Republic,” Conteh affirmed.

I think the SLPP dug the hole too deep for themselves by implementing the PR system, they bulldoze the opposition to table that unfavorable instrument in the well of Parliament now look they can not conduct any byelection for the smaller political parties or independent candidates if APC fails to show up SLPP have bitten more than they can chew

This is still telling me the Apc is still yet do not learn from their mistakes,honestly I will see the in opposition again after 2028 election.The Apc supporters think they own Sierra Leone but let them know that the slpp supporters will resist them by all means if the tried anything foolish this time,we have kept quiet for so long on in the name for peace and mama solone.I repeat we the slpp supporters will resist the apc lawless supporters by every means and we are in the greater numbers.

Whether APC participates or not the government will still continue to work for the people of Sierra Leone. Remember that if any MP fails to attend parliament for 90 days for no valid reason including this foolish decision of APC fools, their seats will be declared vacant. That means the policy of the PR system will apply by replacing you with other MPs who came second so be warned.

Now I know that the interim committee is different from APC leadership. The APC is reacting to the.calling of the people but the interim committee is fighting it own benefit as a group of politicians. What decision you think APC will make in Parliament where they are not up to the required to debunk and.idea or accept it? Learn from the past and predict what the future holds for you.
