In response to the recent position letter from the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) stating their refusal to participate in President-elect Julius Maada Bio’s governance system, Alfred Peter Conteh, a former member of the Interim Transitional Governance Committee (ITGC), has expressed his views.

Conteh emphasized that the people of Sierra Leone, particularly the APC supporters, voted for the party to have representation in the parliament, not to be excluded from the decision-making process.

He dismissed the signed document as lacking any substantial basis.

The APC party was chosen by the people of Sierra Leone to represent them in parliament, and not those individuals who signed a noncompliance document. That document holds no significance whatsoever. The mighty APC will actively participate in the 6th Parliament of the 2nd Republic,” Conteh affirmed.
