The Secretary General of the All People’s Congress (APC), Lansana Dumbuya Esq., has urged former Vice President Chief Alhaji Samuel Sam-Sumana to reconsider his decision to take the party to the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) over its constitutional provisions on readmission.
In a telephone interview with Liberty Online TV, Dumbuya emphasized that dialogue within the party should come first. He encouraged Sam-Sumana to return to the APC leadership table and work with party structures, stressing that contributions made at the grassroots level are recognized and rewarded over time.
“Membership status alone is not what matters,” Dumbuya said. “If you do what is right for the party, the structures and members will take notice and reward you accordingly, even if you may not immediately see the reward.”
He added that if Sam-Sumana proceeds with his complaint to the PPRC, the APC will also respond, presenting its position in accordance with the party’s constitution.
