Today, Julius Maada Bio, the incumbent President and Leader of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), is set to launch the party’s highly anticipated manifesto for the upcoming June 24 general elections.

The event, taking place in Kenema District, one of the party’s strongholds, is expected to draw massive crowds of enthusiastic party members and supporters, eager to welcome President Bio.

President Julius Maada Bio and Vice President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh are expected to present “The People’s Manifesto: The New Direction – Consolidating Gains and Accelerating Transformation” to SLPP supporters in that part of the country.

“The New Direction: Consolidating Gains and Accelerating Transformation” is expected to focus on key areas of national importance, including corruption, education, healthcare, infrastructure, governance, job creation, agriculture, and youth empowerment. The manifesto will also emphasize the party’s commitment to a united Sierra Leone, encapsulated by its slogan “One Country, One People.”

Meanwhile, the Secretariat of the ruling SLPP has revealed that the manifesto encompasses a comprehensive set of principal goals aimed at resonating with the general public. It outlines the party’s policies and ambitions for the period spanning from 2023 to 2028, contingent upon President Bio retaining power.

With the launch of “The People’s Manifesto: The New Direction – Consolidating Gains and Accelerating Transformation,” the SLPP has set the stage for a spirited electoral campaign, promising a future filled with progress and opportunity for all Sierra Leoneans.
