The Coalition for Change (C4C) has concluded its first National Delegates Conference since 2017, marking a major step in the party’s efforts to strengthen its internal structures and position itself for future political engagements.
The conference, held in Waterloo on Saturday, brought together delegates from across Sierra Leone alongside representatives from the party’s diaspora branches. The gathering provided an opportunity for members to deliberate on key issues affecting the party and outline strategic plans ahead of the 2028 general elections.
One of the key outcomes of the conference was the election of 21 national officers, who were officially declared winners at the end of the delegates’ proceedings. The newly elected officials are expected to steer the party’s affairs and oversee the implementation of its policies and programmes in the years ahead.
Delegates also discussed and adopted a number of constitutional amendments aimed at strengthening the party’s governance structure, enhancing internal democracy, and improving organizational effectiveness.
Party leaders used the occasion to stress the need for unity, discipline, and grassroots mobilization as the C4C seeks to broaden its political reach ahead of the next electoral cycle. Discussions centered on strategies for party expansion, member engagement, and national development.
The National Delegates Conference remains one of the party’s highest decision-making platforms, offering members the opportunity to shape its future direction and policies.
The conference ended with renewed commitments from party stakeholders to work collectively towards building a stronger and more competitive C4C as preparations for the 2028 elections gather momentum.
