The Vice President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, attended the funeral service of the late Elizabeth Fatmata Blessing Kpakra on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at the New Harvest Central House of Gathering in the Old Railway Quarters of Bo City. During the service, Vice President Jalloh delivered a heartfelt tribute to the deceased.

Expressing his condolences, Vice President Jalloh shared that his presence at the church was a testament to sharing the grief associated with the loss. He emphasized that the loss is not exclusive to the Kpakra family but extends to friends and mourners.

Vice President Jalloh noted the surprise of Elizabeth’s demise, stating that it not only shocked President Julius Maada Bio but also the entire Government of Sierra Leone. President Bio, currently out of the country, had requested Vice President Jalloh to represent him at the funeral.

Referring to the late Elizabeth as an epitome of the cardinal virtues the ruling party prides itself in, Vice President Jalloh highlighted her respect and belief in the ruling party.

In conclusion, the Honourable Vice President consoled the bereaved family, urging them to perceive the loss of their daughter as one destined by God.

The late Elizabeth Kpakra, who passed away on February 14, 2024, is remembered as the person who popularized the election slogan: “Go vote saful, return na ose saful, wait for the results saful; if you win, celebrate saful; and if you lose, sidom saful” during the June 24, 2023, Presidential, Parliamentary, and Local Council elections.

The funeral service was a poignant moment of remembrance for a young lady who contributed significantly to the political landscape of Sierra Leone.
