Former Attorney General, Chief Justice, and Anti-Corruption Commissioner, Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara (JFK), has advised the All People’s Congress (APC) to consider petitioning the results of the general elections held on June 24.

Sharing his thoughts on his Twitter account, JFK emphasized the importance of lawyers upholding their ethical responsibility to act in the best interests of their clients.

He said, “Elections are challenged by petitioning the results before the Courts. Any decision by the APC to abandon legal redress is regrettable. Implicitly, the APC have acquiesced and accepted the outcome.”

Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara’s statement sparks backlash on social media, with Umaru Napoleon Koroma voicing his opinion, stating, “Senior Counsel, please refrain from causing any more embarrassment to Dr. Samura and your party. Where is the evidence to support your claims? It’s best to let the old man retire quietly.” Koroma’s response was directed at JFK’s comment on Twitter.
