The Leader of the National Grand Coalition (NGC) party in Parliament, Honourable Kandeh Kolleh Yonkella (KKY), and other opposition party representatives in parliament are according to sources, expected to anytime from now, declare their support for the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) ahead of June general elections.

Sources within the corridors of Sierra Leone’s house of Parliament have alleged that the leader of the NGC party in parliament will soon declare his support for ruling SLPP.

Meanwhile, people from all works of life are waiting to see the declaration of Kandeh Kolleh Yonkella to the SLPP. The party he earlier fell out with during the 2018 general elections, which also led to the formation of the National Ground Coalition party.

However, another news making rounds the corridors of the house of parliament also speculates that the Leader of the Coalition for Change (C4C) party in parliament, Saa Emerson Lamina, and two other senior MPs from the C4C party are expected to join the SLPP.

Furthermore, another three senior members from the main opposition All peoples Congress(APC) party in Kono District are reportedly expected to declare for the ruling SLPP party in a very short while.

Already, the Leader of NGC in parliament, Kandeh Yonkella has renounced his membership with the NGC and called on the members to take good care of the party.

In another development, a good number of the C4C party members in Kono District including the former Mayor of Koidu New Sebehun City Council, Komba Sam recently announced his support for the Sierra Leone people’s party in the next coming general elections.
