The High Court presided over by Justice Adrian Fisher will on Friday, 5th November, 2021 commence hearing on a contempt of court matter recently filed by the plaintiff’s lawyer, Jesse Michael Jengo.

The plaintiff is, in the new application, claiming that the party National Secretary General breached some portions of the High Court variation orders that were issued out in April this year for the party to hold its emergency national delegates conference with the sole aim of endorsing its draft Constitution.

According to some details in the said application, the plaintiff is claiming that the party scribe failed to address certain issues including that of party membership which was pending.

If the application before the court is heard and it goes in favour of the plaintiff, the APC will be sanctioned or punished for contempt of court. On the other hand, if the plaintiff losses the matter the court is expected to levy fine on him and the APC allowed to present its final delegate convention report to the court.

Also, the court will on that same date rule as to whether to grant permission for the new litigant-in-person, Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden to associate with the plaintiff, Alfred Peter Conteh in the ongoing petition matter.
