Former President Koroma Congratulates Macky Sall of Senegal

Former President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma has sent congratulatory message to Senegal President Macky Sall after his decision not to run for a third term.

“Your unwavering commitment to upholding democratic principles by respecting the two term limit is truly commendable.

“Proud moment for West Africa,” President Koroma said.

Senegal witnessed a spate of violence after President Sall indicated that he would be running for a third term.

Supporters of opposition politician, Ousmane Sonko protested in the capital Dakar and at some Senegalese Embassies abroad.

Sall announced that he will not be running for third term earlier this week receiving commendation from West African and other world leaders.
