The former flagbearer and leader of Sierra Leone’s main opposition party, the All People’s Congress (APC), Samura Kamara, has congratulated the APC Diaspora for successfully organizing a transformative retreat in Banjul, The Gambia.
The event, which took place from December 19th to 22nd, 2024, centered around the theme, “Mobilisation for Revitalisation to Achieve Peace and Cohesion in the APC Party.”
Kamara, unable to attend the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances, expressed his sincere support and appreciation for the participants, acknowledging their dedication to fostering unity and justice within the APC.
He highlighted the importance of the retreat’s theme, noting how it resonated deeply with the party’s shared mission of promoting peace and cohesion among its members.
“I wish to extend my wholehearted support to all participants,” Kamara said in his message. “Your commitment to the revitalization of our party and its principles is truly commendable.
Kamara also extended his best wishes for a successful and impactful retreat, adding, “Merry Christmas and a fulfilling 2025.”
The retreat in Banjul is seen as a significant step in strengthening the APC party, particularly in the diaspora, as it works towards greater unity and revitalization ahead of the 2028 Elections.
