The Sierra Leone People’s Party’s Chairman, Jimmy Batilo Songa has called on party stakeholders to remain united during the convening of a strategic meeting at their headquarters in Freetown.

The meeting brought together a cross-section of district and constituency executives as well as key stakeholders from Kenema District.

The primary objective of the meeting was to underscore the importance of peace, unity, and cohesion among party executives and stakeholders in the district.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa stressed that the party’s delegates’ conference elections are now concluded and urged members to move forward in unity. He stressed that building a united front is essential as the party prepares for victory in 2028.

The Chairman further noted that Kenema District remains the only undisputed stronghold of the SLPP in the country and called on leaders and supporters to preserve that legacy through cooperation and mutual respect.

He also assured attendees that Ambassador Ernest Baimba Ndomahina, who heads the party’s Peace and Reconciliation initiative, will soon begin an in-depth nationwide engagement aimed at strengthening internal harmony and consolidating peace within the party.

‘’Unity and solidarity have remained both relentless and resilient, rising above petty differences within the party. He reiterated, is to ensure a strong, united SLPP capable of securing victory in 2028.”

The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of commitment among stakeholders, reinforcing the message that Sierra Leoneans are one people and one country, united in the shared goal of peace and progress.
