There is tension at the stadium in Conakry as Leone Stars officials have just been informed that six of their players have been tested positive been tested positive for COVID-19.
They are goalkeepers Ibrahim Sesay and Francis Koroma, Augustus Kargbo, Idriss Kanu, Alusine Koroma and Kassim Sima Turay.
The news was broke to the team while the players including the alleged infected players were warming up.
Leone Stars officials have said that they would not honour the fixture because as they’re challenging the authenticity of the results.
A Sierra Leone FA secretariat staff Alusine Kabba has shown me message he received earlier in the day from the CAF security officer assigned for the match Andy Quamie indicating that all players and officials were tested negative by the Guiean authorities (picture attached) Quamie himself confirmed to me that it was he who sent the message after receiving information from the appropriate authorities.
